Dean one is a fast-growing Dutch enterprise providing telecom and internet for the B2B market. More and more companies are opting for dean one because it has developed its services specifically for the business market and offers great service. As a provider, dean one offers cloud telephony, mobile, ISDN, and Internet Services.


As the company is growing, new solutions and offerings to their customers to keep the competitive position in the market need to be launched. This required the development team to grow with the right expertise in short time . The main challenge for dean one was to realize this growth as the high-quality PHP resources needed to expand the development team, are very hard to find in the Netherlands. The challenge was to find the PHP resources and to develop new solutions to address new regulations and expand its offering to the customers.


Typeqast provided dean one a development team with PHP developers that are very proficient in the Laravel framework. The team was set up as a Scrum team with a Product Owner provided by dean one in the Netherlands and the developers provided by Typeqast in Croatia. Typeqast and dean one had daily standups, sprint reviews, sprint demos, and retrospectives to guarantee high quality and tailor-made solutions. The Typeqast PHP developers team worked closely together with the Product Owner and developed a solution to expand the offerings to the customer while addressing new regulations. The solution developed was the porting of phone numbers between different providers. The team developed multiple API’s that were consumed by various other systems so the phone numbers can easily be migrated from an old provider to dean one, the new provider.


As a result, dean one now offers a better service to its customers: the number porting solution was successfully developed and integrated with dean one’s system. The way it is developed, dean one is meeting all of the necessary regulations. dean one can now continue to grow and keep its competitive place in the market because of the enabled possibility for its users to migrate their phone numbers to dean one easily. Additionally, many of Typeqast’s technical best practices and advice have been taken up by dean one and are integrated into the working processes. Resulting in a more Agile way of working and making it easier to scale up and adjust processes to the needs of its users.
